Currently serving as the Head of Digital Assurance and Analytics for Corporate Risk and Internal Audit at LEGO Group, Carolyn is committed to providing safe online experiences as the company grows its digital portfolio and ensuring compliance with evolving global digital regulations. Her breadth of experience in public and private companies, government agencies, and consulting firms across the world uniquely positions her to shape creative solutions that consider diverse stakeholders and ambitions.

Carolyn holds a BS in Economics from Clemson University and an MPA from George Washington University where she was a Senior Fellow. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control.

David Cifuentes

David Cifuentes is a seasoned cybersecurity and data engineering leader with nearly two decades of experience helping global enterprises modernize security and observability at scale. Known for his practitioner-first approach, he specializes in designing resilient data pipelines that enable real-time threat detection, SIEM optimization, and faster, more confident security operations.

Currently serving as Director of Sales Engineering at CrowdStrike, David partners with CISOs, SOC leaders, and platform teams to unlock value from logs, metrics, and events across complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Prior to CrowdStrike, he was Field CTO at Onum, where he played a key role in the company’s growth and successful acquisition.

I specialize in Information Security Management Systems (ISO/IEC 27001:2022), cybersecurity governance, risk management, and regulatory readiness, particularly for fintechs, startups, and growing organizations operating in highly regulated environments.

Throughout my career, I have worked closely with executive teams to translate cybersecurity from a technical concern into a strategic business enabler, supporting certifications, audits (ISO 27001, SOC 2), cloud security (AWS, Azure), and regulatory frameworks such as those issued by the Mexico and LATAM financial authorities .

My approach is pragmatic, transparent, and results-driven: I focus on delivering clarity, measurable impact, and sustainable security programs that align with business objectives while reducing operational and cyber risk.

Fifty years in IT, 35 years in CyberSecurity, 35 years in ITSM. Serial entrepreneur with early-stage investments in emerging cybersecurity platforms and technologies.

Currently invested in a US-based MSSP, Securicom, an executive security services company, AdvancedCISO, based in South Africa, and my advisory and GTM company, Advanced Cloud Technologies.

I now live in Plano, TX, but transact globally, with a focus on North America and EMEA.
